Building Joy in the Philippines, One Brick at a Time

This year marked my second time joining Creations for Charity, and once again, it reminded me how something as simple as a toy can create lasting joy and meaningful impact.

For 2025, I had the privilege of partnering with Kinaiya, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving communities in the Philippines. Together, we organized a day of fun, creativity, and giving for elementary students from Tibig Elementary School, a public school in Silang, Cavite, Philippines.

The day was filled with laughter and energy. We played games, held painting activities, and shared food so the kids could enjoy a day of celebration. But the highlight, without a doubt, was the Lego giving activity.

This year felt extra special because I received a list of the children’s names and genders ahead of time, which allowed me to prepare more thoughtfully while shopping for Lego sets.
For many of these kids, it was their first time owning a Lego set. Lego toys are considered expensive in the Philippines, making them inaccessible for many families. Seeing the children hold their own sets, knowing they could take them home and build freely, was moving.

I’m deeply thankful to Nannan and the entire Creations for Charity community for another successful year of sharing the joy of building and making Christmas extra special for children, not only in the Philippines but all over the world. Being part of this initiative continues to be an honor.
I’m already looking forward to joining again next year and building more smiles, one brick at a time.
