Our 17 th  annual fundraiser has concluded with Lego donations to 17 locations in 10 countries across the six continents. As always, our donations were made to diverse organizations with the central theme of benefiting underprivileged children. The 2025 donation in M ichigan was delivered by our secretary and coordinator Don Wilson to Kalamazoo Gospel Mission , a homeless shelter in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Every Christmas they create a shopping experience for parents to pick out Christmas gifts for their children. Hello from friendly Manitoba. This year was more of a challenge as I had shoulder surgery December 1st which has greatly restricted what I could and could not do. Lucky that the groups we selected this year were able to come to us to do our Lego draft and my wife greatly increased the amount of work she did buying Lego and communicating with the parties we had selected. This year we donated 120 Lego kits to HIAS for refugee children in Kenya. The refugees fled war, persecution, climate disasters and more. They came from countries like the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, and South Sudan. HIAS provides vital services to refugees around the world and advocates for their fundamental rights so they can rebuild their lives. It's always fun to see refugee children forgetting their challenges while playing Lego.

This is my second year distributing Lego sets in Japan and this year I asked the local foster homes and orphanage to give me their wishlists instead of purchasing random sets to donate. I enjoyed seeing what everyone picked out and what a special Christmas it will be to receive such extravagant sets!
