Stacking Smiles for Camp Dreamcatcher

This year, we are donating LEGO to McLane Children’s Hematology–Oncology Camp Dreamcatcher which will bring tangible joy and creative engagement to children who have faced the challenges of cancer and blood disorders. Camp Dreamcatcher provides a nurturing summer camp experience where young patients and their siblings can enjoy typical camp activities while still receiving specialized medical care, helping them feel “normal” and part of a supportive community away from the hospital setting.

LEGO toys offer campers an opportunity for imaginative play, problem-solving, and collaborative building during their free time or structured activities. For many children at Dreamcatcher, who may spend significant time in clinical environments, these toys can provide a welcome distraction, spark friendships, and support emotional well-being through hands-on creativity. The camp environment fosters independence, confidence, and social skills, and the addition of LEGO sets can further enrich these experiences.

Your generous donation of LEGO toys not only adds fun to the week-long experience at Camp Dreamcatcher but also underscores the importance of community support for children navigating serious illness. With approximately 95 to 105 children attending each year, including campers and their siblings, donated toys will help ensure that every child has access to meaningful play that promotes teamwork, resilience, and joy in a safe, medically supported setting. Thank you and happy holidays!
